Lysurus fossatii (Lysuraceae, Basidiomycota). A new species with simple stem-like receptacle structure, from Argentina

Lysurus fossatii, a new Lysuraceae species with unique macroscopic features is described and illustrated. Specimens were collected during field expeditions to remnants of the Espinal forest preserved at Estancia Yucat, South-East Córdoba, in central Argentina. The diagnosed by light yellow peridium when immature, surface marked reticulum corresponding peridial sutures. When young while still enclosed peridium, this can be distinguished presence small white stipe completely covered green gleba. No actual receptacular structure evidenced only supports Phylogenetic analyses highly supported affinity L. sphaerocephalus close clade cruciatus.
